Evaluator Training Workshop - NSW


This Professional Development program is designed to train individuals to become evaluators for the Global Issues Problem Solving (GIPS) program. Participants will gain the necessary knowledge and tools to assess student’s problem-solving booklets accurately, fairly, and based on established criteria.

Who can attend?

  • Educators coaching Global Issues Problem Solving students
  • Senior FPS Students - years 10 - 12
What are the benefits of becoming an FPS Evaluator?

  • GIPS Evaluator Training ensures individuals can assess student work consistently and constructively, fostering the development of student’s critical thinking and analytical skills as they address global challenges.
  • For Coaches: This training provides a deeper understanding of the Global Issues Problem Solving program, enhancing coaching skills and improving the ability to guide students through the problem-solving process.
  • For Students: Becoming an evaluator sharpens your own Global Issues Problem Solving skills, allowing you to better engage with the program's methodologies.
What's included?

  • All resources and materials, including access to the evaluator portal in FPSOnline.
  • 6 hours of professional development - The presenter works through the six steps of the Future Problem Solving evaluation procedures using a training booklet.
  • Opportunity to qualify to become an active FPS GIPS evaluator. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants submit an evaluation of a booklet for assessment to be accepted as a Qualified National Evaluator.
  • Certificate of course completion

Terms and Conditions of Workshop

You may transfer the registration to a different person at any time prior to the date of the workshop.

Cancellations can be made at least five working days before the workshop, minus a registration service charge of $10.00 (GST-inclusive).

Within five days of the workshop, cancellation of registration is subject to the full workshop fee. Please remember that you are still responsible for paying the full workshop fee if you do not cancel or attend.

The workshop may be postponed until later in 2025 should minimum attendance numbers not be reached.

Unforeseen circumstances may force us to change the date and or location of the workshop at short notice. Should you be unable to attend the workshop on the revised date, FPS will provide a full refund.

As a not-for-profit organisation, all revenue from Professional Development Workshops is reinvested into the FPS programs, providing teachers with the resources to become exceptional Future Problem Solving Coaches.
