Live Streamed: Opening Doors to FPS

Lesley Sutherland, Director Professional Development is hosting a series of three webinars to introduce teachers to Future Problem Solving. The webinars and presentation slides will be presented live via Zoom.

The course content for the coach webinars meets AITSL standards, allowing participants to add three hours to their professional accreditation requirements.

The total cost for all three webinars is $375 (Inc GST).   At FPS, we feel it is beneficial to implement FPS in partnership with another colleague at your school, we are offering a 50% discount to the second person registered from your school. Students may also be included for $110 each. This discount will be applied at the checkout.

Coach Webinar 1: Tuesday 15 March 2022, 1pm
This introduction to Future Problem Solving highlights the process to develop analytical, creative and critical thinking skills for all students addressing real world problems. Participants acquire a framework for teaching and assessing 21st century skills.
Duration - 60 minutes

Coach Webinar 2: Thursday 17 March 2022, 1pm
The different learning options offered by Future Problem Solving Australia are explained with implementation ideas for your school and students.  All Learning Options are underpinned by the six step problem solving process and this first webinar will use the first 2022 topic ‘Water Supply’ to introduce the six-step model, providing the attendee with a head start to Future Problem Solving 2022 participation. Participants acquire a framework for teaching and assessing 21st century skills.
Duration - 60 minutes

Coach Webinar 3: Thursday 24 March 2022, 1pm
This webinar continues elaborating the Future Problem Solving model with continued focus of the first 2022 Global Issues topic, “Water Supply”. Throughout the webinar there will be a focus on the evaluation guidelines that enhance superior performance of the students and assist coaches.

  • Participants meet other new and experienced FPS coaches providing an opportunity to develop networks with those on the same learning path.

Who is the instructor?

Lesley Sutherland – Lesley has been a part of Future Problem Solving Australia for more than 20 years, as a coach, coaching mentor, evaluator and trainer.  She has coached and mentored multiple FPS teams to both National and International Finals.
Lesley currently serves on the Future Problem Solving Program Australia, Committee of Management as Director, Professional Development.

The fine print

Terms and Conditions of Workshop
Pandemic restrictions may force us to change the date of the workshop at short notice. Should you not be able to attend the workshop on the revised date, FPS will provide a full refund. 

You can transfer the registration to a different person at any time before the date of the workshop.

Cancellations can be made at least five working days before the workshop, minus a registration service charge of $20.00 (GST-inclusive).

Within five days of the workshop, cancellation of registration is subject to the full workshop fee. Please remember that you are still responsible for paying the full workshop fee if you do not cancel or attend.

As a not-for-profit organisation, all revenue from our Professional Development courses is reinvested into providing teachers with the resources to become exceptional Future Problem Solving Coaches.

* For full paying participants, this workshop includes a complimentary registration for a single team/individual in any one of the five FPS Program Options.  Secondary (half price) participants from the same school are excluded from this offer.  

The workshop may be postponed till later in 2022 should minimum attendance numbers not be reached.
