Introduction to FPS

Lesley Sutherland, Director Professional Development has conducted a series of five webinars to introduce teachers and students to Future Problem Solving. The webinars and presentation slides are available via You Tube and download.

The course content for the coach webinars meets AITSL standards, allowing participants to add three hours to their professional accreditation requirements.

The total cost for all 5 webinars is $375 (Inc GST).   As FPS feel it is beneficial to implement FPS in partnership with another colleague at your school, we are offering a 50% discount to the second person registered from your school. This discount will be applied at the checkout.

Coach Webinar 1:
This introduction to Future Problem Solving highlights the process to develop analytical, creative and critical thinking skills for all students addressing real world problems. The different learning options offered by Future Problem Solving Australia are explained with implementation ideas for your school and students.  All Learning Options are underpinned by the six step problem solving process and this first webinar will use the first 2021 topic ‘Youth in competitive sports’ to introduce the six-step model, providing the attendee with a head start to Future Problem Solving 2021 participation. Participants acquire a framework for teaching and assessing 21st century skills.

Coach Webinar 2:
This webinar continues elaborating the Future Problem Solving model with continued focus of the first Global Issues topic, “Youth in Competitive sports” Throughout the webinar there will be a focus on the evaluation guidelines that enhance superior performance of the students and assist coaches. Participants acquire a framework for teaching and assessing 21st century skills.
Duration - 90 minutes

Student Webinar 1:
For the first time, Future Problem Solving Australia will launch the program to students across Australia. This webinar explains to the students how Future Problem Solving works and how to get started. 
Duration: 30 minutes

Student Webinar 2:
Continuing the launch of Future Problem Solving 2021, this webinar further develops the students’ futuristic thinking, ideas for researching  the “Youth in Competitive Sports” topic and guidelines for each step.
Duration 30 minutes

Coach Webinar 3:
This webinar focuses in more depth on areas that coaches and students find difficult. This includes researching the topics efficiently, futuristic thinking, underlying problems and effective action plans. Participants acquire a framework for teaching and assessing 21st century skills.
